Apple officially announced it would introduce a new feature dubbed “Lockdown Mode” on its new iOS 16 system. This is a technology for specialized additional protection to users who may be at risk of highly targeted cyberattacks.

On its website, Apple went explained that the Lockdown mode is intended to protect users from very sophisticated digital threats such as those designed by an Israeli technology firm NSO Group.

Overall, the LockDown Mode seems to cover all the possible ways spyware can currently infect an iPhone.

Now, Apple announced it would offer the industry’s highest $2 million bonus to encourage outsiders to crack the Lockdown Mode. The main application scenario is when users suspect that their mobile phone has a Trojan horse. Furthermore, it also protects the iPhone from monitoring by unknown sources.
