Saudi Arabia's Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha, during the Digital Economy Ministers meeting hosted by Indonesia at the G20 in Bali, said that Saudi Arabia intends to train more than 600 women in the MENA region as part of a partnership with the Apple Developer Academy under the Saudi Vision 2030.

The Academy teaches students the basics of coding and core professional competencies, design and marketing. Graduates of the Developer Academy have created 1,500 applications worldwide and founded 160 new companies. They have included representatives of 51 nationalities.

The Minister said that the situation for women empowerment with women's rights has improved from 7% in 2017 to over 30% in 2022. In addition, he noted that the qualitative growth in bold capital investment last year increased by 270%, surpassing the figures achieved in 2020 and 2019 combined.
