BMW has announced the new i7 xDrive60 electric luxury sedan 7 Series. It is equipped with two electric motors, which will work on the principle of "synchronous machine with current supply," which allows "a precisely metered supply of electrical energy" to cause "excitation of the rotor.

For comparison, the Tesla Model S (the most powerful in its class) has a battery capacity of 100 kWh, and the flagship Mercedes-Benz EQS with a range of almost 600 km has a battery capacity of 107.8 kWh.

The starting price is $120,295. Pre-orders are available starting today, with deliveries expected to start in late 2022.
