It will use eco energy and recycled water.

The UAE announced the construction of a new grandiose facility in Dubai. The authorities plan to build a 93-kilometer air-conditioned path for walking and cycling. It got named The Loop. Construction company URB published a video about this.

The Loop is in the planning stage, but the details of the route are still being finalized. With its help, the developers plan to connect Expo City, JLT, Al Quoz, Downtown Dubai, Meydan, and Academic City. This will improve the transportation system for the city's three million residents.

According to the developer's plans, the project will not be limited to the creation of a walking area. It also involves the construction of various wellness areas, including fitness centers and sports courts. The developer also plans to build hotels of various categories (luxury, standard, and budget) into the infrastructure of The Loop.

The Loop would also be a very ambitious eco project. It will use recycled water for irrigation and 100 percent renewable energy using kinetic power. Also, developers plan to create some vertical farms for the food security of residents.

“The LOOP is the future of urban mobility infrastructures, which are more than sustainable transport systems. These types of infrastructures are spaces and utilities for people, where various leisure and community services can also be provided. These types of infrastructures are an enjoyable mode of sustainable transport, no matter the weather conditions”, said URB chief executive officer Baharash Bagherian.

This project is a part of Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. He plans to transform Dubai into a 20-minute city, with pedestrians.
