Tesla Artificial Intelligence Day, which Musk had originally planned to hold on 19 August, has been postponed to 30 September to introduce the humanoid robot Optimus.

Optimus, also known as Tesla Bot, was first unveiled in August 2021 during Tesla's first AI Day. According to Musk's vision, it will be able to perform mundane tasks such as grocery shopping. The robot will be controlled by the artificial intelligence systems that Tesla is developing for use in its electric cars.

The robot will be 173 cm tall and weigh approximately 57 kg. Instead of a face, the robot will have a screen to display information. Its arms and legs will be controlled by special servo drives - about 40 of them. The robot has a carrying capacity of 20 kilograms and will move at a speed of 8 km/h.
