A recent report from Bloomberg has shed light on the potential successors to Tim Cook as Apple's CEO, a position he has held since 2011 and will turn 64 this year.

While a leadership change isn't expected soon, the report explores various possibilities for Cook's eventual replacement.

According to sources familiar with Apple's internal dynamics, Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams is likely to step into the role of CEO if Cook were to step down soon. However, concerns about Williams' age (61) and long-term commitment to the role have raised doubts among company insiders.

With speculation that Cook will remain CEO for at least another three years, John Ternus emerges as the most probable successor. Currently serving as Apple's Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering, Ternus is admired within Apple for his leadership qualities and managerial skills. At 49 years old, he is seen as a stable choice for long-term leadership.

While executives like Craig Federighi and Deirdre O'Brien are well-regarded within Apple, they are deemed unlikely to succeed Cook due to various factors. Similarly, executives like Phil Schiller and Dan Riccio are considered to be nearing the end of their tenures at Apple, making them less probable candidates for the CEO position.
