OpenAI has officially commented on the lawsuit filed by one of its founders, Elon Musk, refuting the allegations he made.

In a statement to employees, Jason Kwon, Chief Strategy Officer, expressed regret over Musk's actions, pointing out that his decision to sue may be motivated by a sense of missed opportunity to participate in the company's future development.

We categorically disagree and, while we have a long way to go, have already made much more mission progress than many — including Elon — thought possible,

Kwon said in the memo.

We believe the claims in this suit may stem from Elon’s regrets about not being involved with the company today.

In the statement, OpenAI also emphasized its independence and commitment to the mission of developing artificial intelligence for the benefit of all mankind, despite the challenges in the process.

It was also noted that Sam Altman, head of OpenAI, expressed his personal respect for Musk, calling him his hero and expressing his hope that he could work with him again as in the old days.
